Likes & Hearts

The heart button on ImgLink lets you show appreciation for images you enjoy. Every image on the platform can be liked - whether you're browsing the Explore Gallery, viewing someone's User Profiles, or looking at an individual image page.

How to Like an Image

Click the heart icon (♥) on any image. That's it. The heart fills in red and the like count goes up by one.

You can like images from:

- The explore gallery - Heart icons appear on every thumbnail
- User profiles - Like images directly from someone's profile page
- Image viewer pages - The full-size image page has a like button
- Your dashboard - Like your own images if you want (no judgment)

Who Can Like Images?

Anyone can like images. You don't need an account - likes are tracked anonymously using a device fingerprint. This means your likes persist across page loads but are privacy-friendly.

If you have an account, likes are also associated with your profile for a more personalized experience.

Like Counts

Every image shows its total like count next to the heart icon. This helps visitors discover popular content and helps creators understand which images resonate with their audience.

On Profiles

Your User Profiles shows your total received likes as a stat. This is the sum of all likes across all your public images. It's a quick measure of how much your content is appreciated.

In Explore

The explore gallery can be sorted by popularity, which factors in like counts. Images with more likes tend to surface higher.

Notifications

When someone likes your image, you'll receive a Notifications. The notification shows which image was liked and links directly to it. This way you always know when your work is getting attention.

- Check what's popular - Browse explore sorted by popularity to discover great content
- Feature your most-liked images - Use the Featured Images feature to showcase your best work on your profile
