Messages & Inbox

ImgLink has a built-in messaging system that lets you communicate directly with other users. Whether you want to compliment someone's photography, discuss a collaboration, or just say hello - messages make it easy.

How to Send a Message

From a User's Profile

1. Visit any user's profile page (imglink.cc/u/username)
2. Click the Message button below their bio
3. Type your message and hit Send

From Your Inbox

1. Go to your dashboard
2. Click the Messages tab
3. Click New Message
4. Enter the recipient's username
5. Type your message and send

Your Inbox

Your inbox is located in the Messages tab of your dashboard. Here you'll find:

- All conversations - Listed with the most recent at the top
- Unread indicator - New messages are highlighted
- Message preview - See the last message in each conversation
- Timestamps - Know when each message was sent

Click any conversation to open the full message thread.

Notifications

When someone sends you a message, you'll receive a Notifications with:
- The sender's username (clickable)
- A preview of the message
- A link to open the conversation

The bell icon in the navbar will show your unread count so you never miss a message.

Who Can Message You?

Any registered ImgLink user can send you a message. There's no need to follow someone first - just visit their profile and click Message.

Tips

- Be respectful - Treat messages like any other communication platform
- Check your inbox - Look for the Messages tab in your dashboard
- Click notification links - When you get a message notification, click it to go directly to the conversation
- Connect with creators - If you like someone's images, send them a message to let them know

Privacy

Messages are private between the sender and recipient. No one else can see your conversations. If someone sends unwanted messages, you can report them through the admin team.
